NeoRex

Systems Engineer • Linux Enthusiast • Platform Analyst

I'm a 7th-semester Systems Engineering student at UNAD and currently work as a Platform Analyst specializing in Moodle environments. My interests span Linux infrastructure, self-hosted services, DevOps, automation, and cybersecurity. I enjoy understanding how platforms work internally, building practical tools, and designing reliable systems that solve real-world problems.

Current Focus

Moodle Development

Exploring Moodle internals by developing custom themes, studying the PHP codebase, and learning how large educational platforms are architected.

Linux & Self-Hosting

Running Arch Linux as my primary workstation while maintaining Debian servers with Docker, reverse proxies, databases, and self-hosted services.

Automation & DevOps

Building automated workflows with n8n, Docker Compose, Git, and server monitoring while continuously improving deployment and infrastructure skills.

Cloud & Cybersecurity

Expanding my knowledge of cloud infrastructure, virtualization, networking, and security with the long-term goal of specializing in platform engineering and cybersecurity.

Featured Projects

Neo Learning Platform

A production-ready Moodle ecosystem running with Docker, MariaDB, reverse proxies, custom themes, and self-hosted infrastructure. Built as both a learning environment and a platform engineering laboratory.

NeoRex Theme

A custom Moodle theme built on top of Boost, focused on creating a modern user experience while learning Moodle's PHP architecture, Mustache templates, SCSS, and rendering system.

Home Lab Infrastructure

A multi-server Linux laboratory combining Arch Linux, Debian, Docker, virtual machines, automation with n8n, and cloud VPS deployments to experiment with DevOps, networking, and cybersecurity concepts.
